Are you a national of a non European Economic Area country and want to study in the Netherlands? This is for you. The Holland Scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their Bachelor’s or Master’s in the Netherlands.
Sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences, the Holland Scholarship is not a full-tuition scholarship and only non-EEA students with outstanding academic records are enrolled.

Nationals of all the countries outside the European Economic Area are eligible for the scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits
This is not a full-tuition scholarship. Each beneficiary is entitled to € 5,000 in the first year of study.
Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible for the Holland Scholarship if you:
- a citizen of a non-EEA country
- are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s programme at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions
- meet the specific requirements of the institution of your choice (check the website of the institution)
- do not have a degree from an education institution in the Netherlands.

Application Deadline
The deadline for applications is either 1 February 2023 or 1 May 2023 depending on your institution of choice.
