Applications for the 2023-2024 session of Emile Boutmy scholarships programme are now open. The scholarship was created by Sciences Po and named after the founder of Sciences Po. The essence of the Emile Boutmy scholarships is to welcome and assist best international students from outside the European Union. The scholarship is awarded to outstanding international students whose profiles match the admissions requirements of Sciences Po and the institution’s individual course requirements.
The Emile Boutmy Scholarships programme is funded from the generous support of different benefactors, companies and foundations who are eager to allow the most deserving international students to study at Sciences Po. Private sponsors can be in direct contact with scholarship holders during official organised events.

Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship benefits for Emile Boutmy Scholarships are of two categories, those for undergraduates and those for Masters.
Undergraduate Level: The Emile Boutmy Undergraduate Programme can take different forms ranging from €3,600 to €13,190.
Masters Level: The Emile Boutmy Master’s Programme is a tuition grant of €12,200 per year which covers part of the tuition fees.
Scholarship Duration
Undergraduate scholarship lasts for the three years of undergraduate study while Masters scholarship lasts for the two years of the Master’s degree programme.
Eligibility Requirements for Emile Boutmy Scholarships
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:
- Be a citizen of a Non-European Union country and your household does not file taxes within the European Union
- Be a first time applicant who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master’s programme.
Kindly note that you are not eligible to apply again if you have already been refused the Émile Boutmy scholarship.
Application Instructions
In your application, you must indicate that you are applying for any of the Emile-Boutmy Scholarships in the “Financial information” section of their Sciences Po application. You will be required provide a proof of income and documents explaining your family situation.

- Deadline for undergraduate programmes is 22 February 2023.
