Applications for the DeutschlandStipendium National Scholarship Programme in Germany are currently ongoing for both Bachelors and Masters degree students. The programme is modelled after the principle of public and private partnership, businesses, foundations or private individuals sponsor young talent with a pledge of €150 per month. Scholarship Benefits

Each selected applicant is entitled to €300 per month. This comes from combination of €150 donated by private partners/sponsors and another €150 donated by the Federal Government of Germany.

Scholarship Duration

The scholarship is awarded for two semesters but it may also be valid for the time which covers the standard period of study subject to satisfactory performance. After two semesters, the university reviews whether the student still meets the scholarship criteria, in order for private funding to proceed. Mentoring programmes, networking events, as well as internships will also be available through this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the DeutschlandStipendium National Scholarship Programme, you must:

  • Have excellent academic results
  • Have proven civic engagement and special personal achievements
  • Prove your ability to overcome challenges or obstacles in your social or family background.

Both enrolled students and commencing students are eligible for the scholarship.

First- and higher-semester students of all nationalities can apply for the DeutschlandStipendium National Scholarship directly to their various universities. The universities will organise the selection process, select the successful candidates and approach potential sponsors with financial assistance from the Federal Government.
