The Eiffel Scholarship Program was developed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide annual training for future foreign decision-makers in the public and private sectors in degree programs at the Master’s and Doctoral levels. The essence of developing the scholarship program is to assist French institutions of higher education in attracting the best foreign students to Master’s and Doctoral degree programs.
Eiffel Scholarship Program trains future foreign decision-makers from the private and public sectors in priority areas of study and as well encourages applications from students in emerging countries at the Master’s level and in emerging and industrialized countries at the Doctoral level.

All the participating French Universities and Academic Institutions.
Eligible Courses for Eiffel Scholarship Program
This scholarship program covers two fields of studies which are Science & Technology and Humanities & Social Sciences. These two broad cover the following seven areas of study for the Master’s and Doctorate levels:
- Biology and Health
- Ecological Transition
- Mathematics and Digital
- Engineering Sciences
- Law and political science
- History, French language and civilization
- Economics and management
Eligible Countries
Nationals of any country of the world.
Scholarship Benefits
Master’s Level: Each Eiffel Master’s scholarship holder is entitled to a monthly allowance of €1,181 which covers International transportation, national transportation, insurance, housing searches, cultural activities allowances.
Doctorate level: Each Eiffel Doctoral scholarship holder is entitled to a monthly stipend of €1,700 which covers international transportation, national transportation, insurance, housing searches and cultural activities allowances.
Kindly note that tuition fees are not covered by the Eiffel program.
Scholarship Duration
For Master’s Level:
- a maximum of 12 months when enrolling in an M2
- a maximum of 24 months when enrolling in an M1
- a maximum of 36 months for the completion of an engineering degree
For Doctoral Level:
The Eiffel scholarship is awarded for a period of 12 months in France.

Application Instructions
Applications for Eiffel Scholarship are submitted exclusively by French higher education institutions, not directly from students.
To apply, kindly follow the steps below:
- Contact Campus France in your country of origin or the French Embassy’s Cooperation and Cultural Action Department, who can guide you and advise you on your study plans.
- To learn about the procedures and deadlines for submitting an application, contact the international relations department of a French institution via its website, by e-mail or by telephone.
- It’s up to you to choose the school or university that best fits your plans for studying in France.
After submitting your application to any French academic institution of your choice, the institution will:
- accept and support your application for the Eiffel scholarship; and
- submit your application online via the dedicated Campus France website
Note that applications sent directly by students or by foreign institutions will be declared ineligible.
