As part of their quest to be the best on and off the pitch, Manchester United Football Club are currently recruiting more matchday stewards at the Old Trafford. The matchday steward role is a meet & greet role that involves general spectator safety duties and interfacing with our fanbase and supporters. The current Matchday Stewards Recruitment at Old Trafford is to boost the numerical strength and working capacity required to secure the comfort of spectators at the stadium on match days.
Eligibility Criteria
To be employed you must:
- Be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Have the ability to be able to communicate effectively
- Have a passion for going the extra mile in securing spectators’ comfort
- Have good attention to detail in order to ensure that those travelling to and from the game have a seamless experience is a high priority
- Complete (or hold) a NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety (If you do not hold this qualification MUFC will fund the course for you)
- prioritize your regular availability at the weekends and on matchdays

Application Stages
Stage 1 – Interview:
The Interview evening will consist of a presentation, competency exercise and a short one-to-one interview.
Stage 2 – Induction:
The Induction Evening will consist of document verification to complete a DBS Check and completion of paperwork. This will take no longer than one hour to complete.
Stage 3 – Training:
All Stewards must complete (or hold) a NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety. If you do not hold this qualification MUFC will fund the course for you. The first part of the course is a seven hour online training session that is to be completed in your own time over a two week period.
